NC A&T Alumni Atlanta Chapter 
Scholarship Fund

This scholarship represents the Atlanta Alumni Chapter’s pledge and commitment to assist the university in attracting and recruiting quality students found in metro Atlanta and the surrounding areas of Georgia. The alumni are convinced that high academic achievers from Georgia are needed on the campus to serve as role models for all students matriculating at the university.

  • What scholarships are available, and who can apply?
    The Atlanta Alumni Chapter offers two scholarships: Freshman Scholarship: For high school students from metro Atlanta or surrounding Georgia areas who have been accepted to North Carolina A&T and will enter as freshmen in the upcoming fall. Upperclassmen Scholarship: For returning Aggies or transfer students from metro Atlanta or surrounding Georgia areas who will enter as sophomores or higher in upcoming fall.
  • When is the application period?
    The scholarship application opens on February 1, and closes at 11:59 PM on April 1. No late applications will be accepted.
  • What are the eligibility requirements?
    Freshman Applicants must: Have a 3.0 or higher GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Submit an acceptance letter, Banner ID, and letter of intent to attend North Carolina A&T. Be from metro Atlanta or surrounding Georgia areas. Upperclassmen Applicants must: Have a 3.0 or higher GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Submit an acceptance letter, Banner ID, and letter of intent to attend North Carolina A&T. Be a returning Aggie or transfer student from metro Atlanta or surrounding Georgia areas.
  • What documents are required for the application?
    Freshman Applicants: Acceptance letter, Banner ID, and letter of intent to attend. Two recommendation letters (one from a school official and one from a non-school official). Official high school transcript. Upperclassmen Applicants: Acceptance letter, Banner ID, and letter of intent to attend. One recommendation letter from a professor, advisor, employer, or administrator. Official college transcript.
  • How should recommendation letters be submitted?
    Teachers and educators must submit a PDF with official school/district letterhead. Students may upload the recommendation(s) with their scholarship application below. Non-educators (mentors, employers, coaches, etc.) can submit a PDF or email. Upperclassmen applicants should have recommendations from a professor, advisor, employer, or administrator using an official school or company email address. All letters must be sent to: atlaggiealum@gmail.com or uploaded via scholarship application below. Relatives cannot provide recommendation letters.
  • How should transcripts be submitted?
    Freshman applicants must submit an official high school transcript. Upperclassmen applicants must submit an official college transcript. Transcripts can be scanned, uploaded, or emailed directly to atlaggiealum@gmail.com. Counselors may email transcripts if the applicant does not have direct access to upload them.
  • When will scholarship funds be distributed?
    Due to university changes in the scholarship payment process, funds will be dispersed during the upcoming fall semester. For any additional questions, email the Atlanta Alumni Chapter Scholarship Committee at atlaggiealum@gmail.com.
