Atlanta chapters kicks off new 1891 campaign as part of its local scholarship fund for 2018-2019
As an effort to build awareness and raise significant funds for the Atlanta chapter’s local scholarship fund (to meet its $35,000 goal), the Atlanta chapter kicked off its 1891 ATL Campaign at the October chapter meeting.
Increase the overall participation of metro Atlanta Aggies in giving to the chapter to over 1000
Develop a relevant contact list of Aggies in the Metro area (1,891)
We are using 1891 because of founding date and the $18.91 as base amount to increase the likelihood that “casual” givers will give (Our goal is based on reaching the 1,891 Aggies).
The committee will partner with the NAACP to feed the homeless as well as to pass out clothing and blankets to the less fortunate. If you would like to donate, please bring your donations to our November 10th meeting!
If you would like to volunteer, please reach out to Ryale LaRue or Kaurie Daniels for more information. Aggie Pride!
DON’T FORGET TO GET OUT AND VOTE!
Early voting locations opened across Georgia began Monday, Oct. 15.
Any registered voter can cast ballots for the Nov. 6 election during the three-week early voting period. In-person early voting starts Monday and lasts through Nov. 2, including at least one Saturday (Oct. 27).
Every county in Georgia has at least one early voting location. To find early voting locations, many county election offices post their addresses and hours on their websites. Contact information for county election offices is available at elections.sos.ga.gov/Elections/countyregistrars.do.
Beginning this week, we will recognize new members and renewals in our newsletter and on Facebook. Annual dues are only $50 and pay for ongoing chapter initiatives such as operations, special events, educational workshops, scholarships and so much more. Show your support as we work together to reach our goals and uplift the spirit and legacy of Aggie Pride. We’re counting on you. Thank you in advance.Aggie Pride!
